This isn’t what I thought… at all. The sides are collapsible which seems odd because this is supposed to be a storage bench. It comes with a separator but instead of using it as such, I’m using it to reinforce one of the ends of the bench. I wish it would have came with two separators because then I would have used the other one to reinforce the other side. The top appears to be pretty sturdy though I would watch putting any real weight onto it because, as stated earlier, the sides are collapsible.

Elegant storage ottoman bench!
This ottoman was very easy to assemble. I like how elegant it looks. It is sturdy enough for a person to sit on. I also like that the space inside is divided by a board which also gives it strength. We are currently using it to store our towels and our poodle sometimes uses it to reach the king-sized bed.
I think two board separators would’ve been better for more strength and to have three separate spaces inside. I have an ottoman of similar size that has two separators. Also, it would’ve been more convenient if you could swing open the lid on either side, so you don’t have to clear the top every time you open it.
Overall, I can say I like this ottoman. Even though it is not my favorite piece of furniture, it does what is supposed to do. I give it 4 stars.

Surprisingly sturdy! This storage ottoman helped me to tidy up the clutter in the boys’ room. I was surprised at how much it holds and how sturdy it is! Putting it together was a breeze! The fabric covering is tight and well stitched and has a nice, silky feel. I’ve always wanted a window seat in this spot; this worked well! I’m thinking of ordering another! For the price, a really nice piece!
