Looks nice, plenty of storage space
This coffee table arrived well packaged without any damage. It took a few hours to assemble, the directions are clear, the parts are labeled and pre-drilled, everything fits together as expected. Its made of fiberboard but it feels pretty sturdy. It sports a dark wood grain veneer that is slightly textured, glossy and waterproof. With normal care it should hold up to everyday use. The top lifts flat so you don’t have to clear it off to access the inside compartment. The mechanism feels a little flimsy so take care when raising or lowering the top. The drawers are good sized, fit well and slide easy. Overall, this is a decent coffee table with plenty of storage space. It came with all the parts needed to assemble and looks nice with a ruggedly dark wood grain veneer.

    Trying to decide…
This took 2 hours 15 minutes to put together because the instructions weren’t super clear.
Also the parts were a little scattered so finding what was what took some time.

It’s a cool design. It’s great for a quick stash/clean when someone is at your door!

    Things I like:
The storage is nice. You have 4 places for storage. The top is the obvious spot for coffee table books. Then you lift that up and you have that full length for stuff. Then you have another shelf on the bottom. Under that are the 2 drawers.
It’s a nice color. It’s laminate but it still looks pretty good, especially from a distance. The wood underneath is harder than the wood of our previous coffee table. That table would easily get dents from kids toys etc. This seems like it doesn’t dent as easily.

But there are a few things that aren’t perfect.

The top doesn’t open and close evenly and seems like over time it could be a problem.

The bottom drawers don’t pull out very far but there is more room in them, so you kind of wedge longer things in there at an angle.
There’s a little bit of wiggle to it. Not bad, but it’s there.

We’re giving this table a trial period and keeping our old one to see how we feel after a few weeks. That way we’re not permanently tied in to keeping this. The old table was given to us from a family member who is gone, so we haven’t ever replaced it for sentimental reasons. But it’s an old look so we do need to update at some point.

    We’ll see how it goes.

Had a lift-top coffee table years ago similar to this type. When I moved, it disappeared in that move. I loved that table. So I was really excited to get this one, even though it is different. It came packed really well. That is important to me. It has to be assembled. Everything was there and fit well. Just takes a while to do it of course. pretty standard. No surprises. Was not complicated. The glossy textured wood grain is attractive. I liked the design and the look. the below storage page is a good size as well as the two drawers. It slides up and down and doors open without any issues. love the fact it is a water-resistant type of coating. I really like this.

This table is well worth the time it took to put together- It is even daunting on opening the heavy box, but it is an easy feat-to put together and well worth it. It is sturdy, and holds up to a busy household which will give it much use. I was concerned about the platform feature, but it stays put when extended. This is great for families with gamers-or just for the family room for folks to gather around. Love the fact that the table rises to whatever occasion for which you may wish to use it! Great value thus far. Hoping for durability!

At first, right after opening package I was super overwhelmed because it came in so many separate pieces that you have to ultimately put together…. however, after seeing that each piece was labeled with it’s own individual number…. which in the end- made of so much more do-able!! I do recommend that you actually have 2 ppl total helping to put it together- so it will make it more easy and smooth process!!

The design / looks of table is very nice! LOVE THE hidden compartment inside table.. it’s my favorite feature.. I gave it 3 stars for the sole fact of it being wobbly , and also for the fact that after table top is in extended position- and you’re ready for it to go back down into the normal position…. it ends up slamming hard once laid back down to flat level…. unless you actually hold it and guide it fully all of the way back down…. but if you happen to let it go before hand- then it will for sure slam down every single time unfortunately….

**Also, important side note : :
The little Circle, button type bolts (the hardware that came with table..) did not all go in fitting flush like they were supposed to…. there was only a few that did not go in flush- but I am pretty sure that is the key reason that is causing the table to become wobbly.. not positive though.
But all n all I like the table… I only wish it stood a bit more sturdy.. and wish the top did not slam like it does.
I’m thinking If I go to store v and buy some rubber small pads or something- maybe it will prevent the hard slam…. ??
I love the secret compartment!! Very sleek and unique design!!!!
    7 or 8 out of 10 rating….

The Lifetime Home Lift Top Coffee Table is a great addition to any living room or dining area. Its hidden compartment and storage shelves provide ample space for organizing items, and the rustic brown design adds a touch of charm. Perfect for apartments and condos, and the lift-top feature is convenient. Overall, a solid 4 star product.

The end result it a decent little coffee table. But the process to get there was not very fun.

The assembly takes a few hours. You have to use a short manual screwdriver and allen wrench for the majority of the steps because the screws placed in spots that can’t be accessed with standard tools, much less power tools.

The directions are not always clear. The diagram with the legs is wrong. Rather than reprinting the instructions, an amended page is included in the box.

The only reason for 4 stars is the assembly of this coffee table was very difficult for 1 person. I could t quite get the drawers to line up right and the tools they provide are not good lol. But after a few days of putting it together slowly, it looks very nice. It goes up and down easily and the drawers work but stick some. I think that’s my error though. I would not let the assembly deter you from this coffee table however – it’s very nice once it’s done.
